Forging a pirate legacy
The Game Marketer assisted leading publisher PQube with its title Curse of the Sea Rats, a 2D “ratoidvania” in which you played one of four pirate rats in a beautiful hand-drawn world.
We focused on creating a tone of voice for Curse of the Sea Rats and several content pillars, we then used these to craft video and static content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram along with the written copy.
We focused on emphasising the visual identity and fun world of Curse of the Sea Rats, briefing on our own ideas and also developing creative ideas that were being honed by the PQube product management team.
We created weekly social media schedules covering Curse of the Sea Rats from pre-launch to post-release. These schedules included regular deliveries of beautiful video and static assets, plus creative copy written to the brand guidelines and Curse of the Sea Rats voice we developed with PQube.
The Game Marketer leveraged its experience in social media and Steam store optimization to continuously appraise and improve our content, developing strategies and feedback that were eventually incorporated into PQube’s overall marketing strategy across several regions.
